I always was very keen on the SourceForge.net to host my open source projects. But in the last week I’ve been developing a very small application to track my packages at the Brazilian Post Office Service, Correios. Since it is a very nice application, I tough that would be a good idea to share this application using a public license like GPLv3.
However it is a small application and the bureaucracy of SourceForge.net does not encourage me on subscribing the application on it. Then, I remembered of Google Code and decided to give a try.
Well, for my (positive) surprise, it took only a few minutes to have my project subscribed and with a functional SVN repository. There is absolute no bureaucracy and it satisfy all my project’s needs (Main page, Wiki, Download section and SVN). From now on I would recommend to everyone that is starting a small project the Google Code system.
